A new video by journalist Stone Phillips takes an in-depth look at the threat of concussions in youth football. The documentary follows a research team as they collect head impact data from 6-8 year old football players. The study discovered that even though these players are young boys, they hit hard and they hit often on the field. And since their neck and shoulders are underdeveloped, the boys are “like bobble head dolls,” more susceptible to risky head-to-head collisions than older athletes.
