The Latest: Innovations in Cancer Prevention and Research

CPRIT Innovations in Cancer Prevention and Research Conference 2012

In 2007, after Texans overwhelmingly voted in favor of issuing $3 billion in bonds to fund groundbreaking cancer research and prevention, the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) was born. As of today, we’ve funded 429 grants for a total of more than $760 million in awards.

CPRIT’s annual Innovations in Cancer Research and Prevention Conference brings you news on the progress and successes of our grantee programs. You’ll get the latest information on cancer research, commercialization, prevention, and control. The conference also is a forum for sharing lessons learned, planning for challenges ahead, and bolstering hope for progress against cancer.

The 2012 Innovations in Cancer Prevention and Research Conference will take place Oct. 24-26 at the Renaissance Hotel in Austin. Register today!

The conference features three tracks: Research, Prevention, and Commercialization — and you may choose to attend sessions within each. A sampling of sessions for each track is below. You can find out more about all the sessions on the conference website.

In addition, you won’t want to miss the progress report from CPRIT’s Future Directions workgroup on the final day of the conference.
