U.S. Consumers Confused on Health Insurance

Americans are just as confused about health insurance as they are about the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, reports Forbes. Research published in the Journal of Health Economics asked 25- to 64-year-olds with private insurance how well they comprehend – and believe they comprehend – traditional health insurance. The answer? Only 14 percent understood what concepts like deductible, copay, co-insurance and out-of-pocket maximum meant.
